Access 3D Hydrography Program (3DHP) Data Products

The current version of the 3DHP data may be found on the USGS website. There are only a few areas in this national database that represent elevation-derived hydrography at a high resolution. None of these areas are in California, yet. The feature classes in the 3DHP were populated from the final NHD dataset. As the elevation-derived hydrography becomes available, it will replace the current NHD geometry. Elevation derived hydrography for California is in development and the buildout will be ongoing. Questions about the 3DHP for California may be directed to nhd_stewardship@water.ca.gov.
