How to Use the NHD Visibility Filter in a GIS

The NHDFlowline feature class of the NHD now has an attribute field name VisibilityFilter which allows for filtering of these vector data features at eight approximate scales.This is a convenient way to "thin" the density of the flowline features for cartography and for analysis.
